Community Bicycle Network (CBN) is a registered non-profit organization founded in 1993 on the belief that bicycles are a powerful tool for positive change. CBN incorporated in 1997 and is governed by a volunteer board of directors.
We have a rich history of serving Toronto’s cycling community through award-winning programs that enable affordable, clean transportation and of improving communities through waste-diversion which is integrated into everything CBN does.
We work to make cycling the most accessible form of transportation in Toronto, breaking down economic barriers while reducing smog and congestion.
To be the leading provider of cycling events, rides and affordable bicycle rentals in Toronto through our partner, the Toronto Tool Library.
CBN envisions communities where:
- bicycles are used to experience everyday life
- bicycles, parts & accessories can be purchased affordably without sales tax, encouraging sustainable mobility
- used bicycles can be repaired, resold and re-used or striped for parts and recycled in an environmentally-friendly manner
